Preschool Dance

Ages: Walking to 4/5 years old

Once we are born, we begin to dance! Bring your toddler to KinetiQ to explore movement and music in a fun and safe environment. Preschool dancers will receive excellent instruction, consistent lessons, rewards, and tons of fun in class!

Parent Tot

Parent tot dance classes are fun, interactive classes typically for children ages 12-18 months to 3 years old.   Classes focus on helping children develop their ability to follow instructions, concentrate, and learn balance and listening skills. Parents (only 1 please) and/or caregivers are in class with their child the entire time.  Classes often include a variety of movements, such as ballet and tumbling, and time to provide a special bonding time with your child while allowing you to meet other families in your area.

4-5 Year Olds

Hip Hop: Preschool hip hop dance classes are a fun way for children to learn about hip hop culture and music while developing coordination, confidence, and other skills. Hip hop dance classes help children develop balance, agility, coordination, and gross motor skills. Children learn to move to the beat of the music and develop a sense of rhythm. Children can explore their own unique movement styles and gain confidence. Children work together to learn routines and encourage each other.

Tap/Ballet Combo: Preschool tap dancing is a fun, high-energy activity that can help children develop physical and social skills. Tap dancing is a great cardio workout that strengthens the legs, core, hips, knees, and ankles. Tap dancing can help children learn to work together, communicate, cooperate, and respect others. Children can also learn to appreciate their classmates' strengths and contributions. Tap dancing is a percussive style that uses shoes with metal plates to create rhythmic sounds and patterns with their feet. Tap dancing often includes improvisation, which can help children discover their own voices. Tap classes often culminate in performances or recitals, which can help children build confidence.  Halfway through class the dancers will get to participate in ballet!  Ballet at the preschool level is designed to develop basic skills and ballet terminology and help dancers with balance, coordination, and grace.

“Preschool dance is where tiny steps become giant leaps of joy. Where every twirl is a celebration of imagination, and where the rhythm of laughter is the most beautiful music.” -unknown
